Golden afternoon light streamed through the cathedral’s stained-glass windows, casting vibrant patterns across the marble floor. The pews brimmed with guests, their chatter a low hum of excitement as the ceremony approached. The air was laced with the scent of fresh roses, and soft whispers danced between the pillars.
