As a field recording interface

As a standalone mixer

It’s also possible to use the iRig Pro Quattro I/O as a preamp and mixer—just power it via battery, USB or DC in, and use the full set of inputs/outputs to capture professional audio on your DSLR camera.

When in STEREO and MONO mode, DAW inputs 3 and 4 are used as safety channels. This means that it is possible to record the same signal present on DAW input 1 and 2, but reduced by 12dB as a backup, in case the sound source gets loud unexpectedly and causes the main channel to distort.
