BUYER BEWARE. I had my wedding at the Le Pavilion in December of 2016. We booked with them a year and a half in advance. Immediately after we booked with the hotel and gave our deposit, it was bought by a national company which subsequently replaced all of the people we had been working with and had been with the hotel for many, many years. I had a total of four different Catering Service Managers (who is essentially the wedding planner at the hotel) to work with. Many of them would only contact us back after borderline harassment and we were never notified when they would leave and a new person took over their position. Guests trying to book a room within our room block also had a lot of problems, as the new staff would constantly give them conflicting information or simply tell them there were no more rooms available, which was not the case. The final Catering Services Manager, Lauren Langenstein, truly did her best to make up for all the bad stuff that happened to us. Lauren tried to accommodate us in any way possible and was very response to questions and requests. However, there was only so much she could do. The day of the wedding, my bridal party got ready at the hotel. A breaker flipped in the suite; understandably, as we had a lot going on but it took maintenance almost 25 minutes to have the power to our room turned back on. We were also never notified that our flowers were delivered and only got our bouquets when we called reception right before we began to take pictures before the ceremony. The night of our wedding the hotel was clearly short staffed for such an event (150 guests). I barely saw my personal attendant (very nice girl), as she seemed extremely busy helping out the other staff within the ballroom. The bar would tell guests (including my Dad) that they were out of certain alcohols that we paid to have in unlimited quantities, but in truth they had run out of what they had behind the bar and needed more brought up to them from the storage room. Many times I would glance over at the main food table area and it would be almost completely empty, as the kitchen could not keep up with the demand. Also, we had been gifted a set of Waterford Crystal champagne toasting glasses, which I had brought up to my suite right after they were used to ensure their safety (brought by our attendant, who I had to catch at the reception) and the box of which has never been recovered. Staff could only tell us that “an older gentlemen with gray hair” took it and told them he would get it to us. The next morning when my husband checked us out of the hotel, no one alerted him that they had things to give him, such as the top of our wedding cake or the cake topper that I brought. Granted, he did not think to ask about those things at the time due to an eventful weekend, but things of that nature are service markers you would expect from this nice of a hotel. Overall, the wedding was beautiful and our pictures came out great due to the grandeur of the hotel. Lauren was very helpful and it seemed like she really did as much as she could given the circumstances. However, for the premium prices that were paid, we did not receive premium goods or services. All has been brought to the attention of the hotel, with some resolution. But, buyer beware.
