The ShapeShift IWB holster for Glock 17 is an extension of the idea that a gun owner has control over every way a firearm can be drawn. This IWB holster for G17 pistols is designed and engineered with premium materials to be comfortable, concealable, durable and adaptable. This holster for the Glock 17 is compatible with all Glock generations, from the original Glock 17 all the way through to Gen 5.
The backer on this holster is made of specific materials. A soft neoprene layer rests against the body, reducing the holster's abrasion on skin and clothing, and wicking moisture from the holster and handgun. A flexible spring steel core molds to the body, acting as the holster's backbone. A layer of ballistic nylon adds durability and reinforcement. It's enclosed inside the holster backer by a front layer of high drag Alien Skin texture.
The low profile half-shell encloses the trigger guard and slide, and is injection-molded with an infallible polymer to precisely fit your Glock 17. The parts holding the shell together are made of that same polymer, which is also used in handgun manufacturing. The shell is mounted to the backer at a single point, so the holster will mold more reliably to the body.
Control the passive retention with a custom, included retention bar for a tighter or looser draw. The cant on the holster may be adjusted for the preferred angle, depending on where it's placed inside the waistband.
As a modular system, the backer may be uninstalled without tools and the shell can be transitioned into any of the other available ShapeShift holster configurations.
