FIRST LADY JILL BIDEN MAKES EMOTIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Jill Biden has announced that she is retiring from teaching after more than four decades in the classroom. In a virtual message addressed to fellow educators, she described the decision as a deeply personal moment following many years of balancing her teaching career with public life.

Throughout her time in the public spotlight, Biden continued to emphasize her commitment to education. Even while serving as First Lady alongside Joe Biden, she remained dedicated to her work as a professor.

During her time in the White House, she continued teaching at Northern Virginia Community College, becoming the first First Lady in U.S. history to maintain a full teaching role while holding the position. She often said that the classroom had always been her true passion.

In her farewell message, Biden thanked fellow teachers for their dedication and the impact they have on students and communities every day. She praised educators for their resilience and commitment to helping young people succeed.

She also reflected on the thousands of students she taught over the years, describing the relationships and lessons shared in the classroom as some of the most meaningful parts of her career.

Biden said teaching was never just a profession for her, but a calling that shaped much of her life and identity over the past forty years.

Although she is stepping away from the classroom, she said the lessons, memories, and connections she formed with students and fellow educators will always remain with her.
