Bill Clinton directly speaks on controversial hot tub photo with unknown female during Epstein files deposition

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton responded to questions about a controversial photograph during a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee on February 27. The session focused on images released by the Justice Department as part of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Lawmakers specifically asked Clinton about a “hot tub photo” and other pictures showing him alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The former president denied any wrongdoing and said he did not recognize an unidentified woman who appeared in one of the images.
“I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong,” Clinton stated during the deposition. He emphasized that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct at the time they were acquainted.
Clinton noted that by the time Epstein entered a guilty plea in 2008, he had already cut off contact with him. He maintained that he was unaware of any illegal activity during the period they associated.
He also defended his wife, Hillary Clinton, who testified the previous day. Clinton said she had no involvement in Epstein’s activities and criticized the decision to subpoena her as unnecessary.
During the six-hour session, Clinton acknowledged that some of his responses might appear limited due to the passage of time. He explained that he would not speculate about events that occurred decades ago and stressed the importance of relying on facts rather than assumptions.
Additional images released in the documents show Clinton at social gatherings and on trips where Epstein was present. He argued that simply appearing in the files does not imply misconduct and reiterated that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, adding that he would never have associated with him had he known of any illegal behavior.
