Iran Hit Two US Ships at Once – America’s Combined Air and Naval Response Came in 35 Minutes – HTT

Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz escalated dramatically when two U.S. Navy ships came under a coordinated Iranian attack. The USS Laboon, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, was approached by multiple Iranian fast attack boats near the western entrance of the strait, while the USS San Jacinto, a Ticonderoga-class cruiser, was targeted by anti-ship missiles launched from the Iranian coast.

According to reports, the attack appeared to be carefully planned by Iran as part of what officials described as “Operation Martyr’s Vengeance.” Fast attack boats engaged the Laboon first, drawing attention while shore-based missile batteries prepared to strike the San Jacinto further east. The strategy aimed to divide American defenses and maximize damage in a short window of time.

The Laboon quickly responded by activating defensive systems and opening fire on the incoming boats. Although the ship managed to destroy several attackers, one rocket struck the vessel’s aft section, killing three American sailors and damaging parts of the ship. Iranian boats later retreated after the engagement intensified.

At nearly the same time, two Noor anti-ship missiles were launched toward the USS San Jacinto. While one missile was intercepted by American air-defense systems, the second managed to evade interception and struck the cruiser, killing seven sailors and causing serious damage to the ship’s hull and internal systems.

In response, U.S. forces launched Operation Hammerfall, a large-scale retaliatory strike targeting Iranian naval bases, missile batteries, and command centers along the coast. The strikes reportedly destroyed multiple facilities and military assets, marking one of the most intense confrontations in the region in recent years and further raising tensions around the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
